Harbour dues

The Groningen Seaports harbour dues are mentioned in the booklet Tariffs 2008. Unique rate system

Groningen Seaports has the cheapest seaports of northwest Europe. In its ports, Groningen Seaports utilizes a unique rate system: ships pay only per tonne of transhipped goods, and not – like in other ports - on basis of the gross tonnage of a ship. This makes both ports highly competitive in terms of rates. Moreover, there are hardly any delays in the ports.
