Location project
Do you have plans for locating a site in one of our ports? Would you like to expand an existing business or start up a new initiative?
A location project is not an every-day event, and we would be pleased to consider the issues and help where possible. We work for an optimum match between business requirements and prerequisites, a joint ambition to pursue synergy and sustainability, and all relevant environmental and local interests. In general, this consists of four steps.
Step 1: request for space/location
If you are interested in the options for locating or expanding your business in Delfzijl, Eemshaven, or Fivelpoort, please contact one of our business managers. We like to consider the project with you, and together we will study the feasibility of and opportunities for your plans.
Step 2: requirements and frameworks
You provide us with information about your initiative, for which we make a questionnaire available; see the annex. This forms the basis for a further discussion of the opportunities in the area of rental or leasehold.
When we’re on the same page, you will receive a proposal from us. On the basis of this proposal, you can conclude a site reservation.
Step 3: report agreements in an instalment land contract
We reach clear agreements about conditions, rates, and plans. We record this in a rental or leasehold agreement. At the same time, we start preparing for construction plans, permits, and infrastructure. Our specialists are ready to assist with advice or to put you in touch with the right partners.
Step 4: formalisation and realisation
After signing the instalment land contract, the deed is executed in the presence of a notary, and the implementation phase can start. Do not forget to apply for the necessary permits on time. They often require substantiated reports in relation to the environment, soil, acoustics, archeology, or spatial planning. We advise you to engage a good consultant, so that you are not faced with surprises.
