Oosterhornhaven

Oosterhornhaven is an inner harbour with an open connection to Eemskanaal. The port is approximately 5 kilometres long with a navigable width ranging between 60 and 90 metres and a depth of 5 metres.

Vessels that sail into Oosterhornhaven, pass the Weiwerder bridge first. At the former aluminium factory  there is a second bridge, the Heemskes bridge. Oosterhornhaven is also accessible to smaller seagoing vessels. The maximum dimensions that apply are 90 metres long, 13 metres wide, and a depth of 5 metres. The maximum mooring length is 90 metres for seagoing vessels and 110 metres for inland vessels. Oosterhornhaven has various public and private mooring facilities, including quays and jetties.
