At the Beatrixhaven site, B.V. Twentsche Kabelfabriek (TKF) of Haaksbergen has started the construction of a new cable factory, complementing existing production facilities in Haaksbergen and Lochem. TKF will use this factory to specifically equip itself to produce marine cables to connect wind turbines from offshore wind farms to power stations. TKF is an established operator in this market. The plant will have a substantially higher production capacity than the existing facility in Lochem and will have a premium location on the heavy cargo quay in Beatrixhaven. TKF expects to start its first production run by the end of 2023.

Four pile drivers are currently carrying out foundation work there. The picture clearly shows construction work on the seven-hectare site behind the heavy cargo quay.
