Start shipping components for Nordsee One wind farm

The MPI Enterprise, an installation vessel of the international shipping company Vroon, came into Eemshaven on February 7th. It is still floating at the quay of Orange Blue Terminals in Julianahaven. The MPI Enterprise will be used by installing the 54 Senvion 6 MW turbines for the Nordsee One wind farm, which are loaded from Orange Blue Terminals. The project team from Senvion is also situated on this terminal. The vessel is designed to transport, lift and install wind turbines and their foundations. Key features include a 1,000-tonne-capacity main crane, a maximum operating depth of 45 metres and the ability to jack with 4,350 tonnes of cargo on board. The Nordsee One wind farm is scheduled to be ready for operation by August 2017.
