Groningen Seaports to sponsor WTCA General Assembly 2018

Cas König speaker at International Trade Day in Leeuwarden on 23 April

From 22 to 27 April 2018, the Netherlands will be hosting the WTCA General Assembly, a global network of more than 300 strongly connected companies in almost 100 countries. This edition of the WTCA General Assembly is being held in Leeuwarden and is the annual meeting of the World Trade Centers (WTC), where all affiliated WTCs meet to network and enter into partnerships. Groningen Seaports is one of the main sponsors of this event.

International Trade Day
The annual meeting starts on Monday 23 April with an International Trade Day, organised by WTC Leeuwarden. The focus will be placed on international cooperation, business, networking and knowledge sharing, based on the theme of ‘Trust, the core of international business’. It is an ideal event for companies looking to expand their international networks, gather and/or share new knowledge or are looking for new opportunities to collaborate. Groningen Seaports sees plenty of opportunities to establish new contacts here or to intensify existing ones, and is happy to cooperate. During a plenary interactive session with Hans de Boer (VNO-NCW), Gerjan Navis (UMCG) and Bart-Jan Freriks (ENGIE), CEO Cas König of Groningen Seaports will set out how international business works.

Business to Business
The international B2B matchmaking event and conference during the WTCAGA 2018 is the ideal opportunity to put your company on the international map. The programme offers plenty of space for strong companies and branches from the Northern Netherlands to present themselves to and get in touch with the enormous network of the World Trade Centers Association and their companies. Groningen Seaports therefore warmly invites its customers and business contacts to attend this event in Leeuwarden on Monday, April 23rd. Of course, the port authority itself is also looking for new contacts and business in its ports. Curious about what kind of companies Groningen Seaports is looking for? Click here.
